Eligibility

• Head of household must be at least 18 years or older, or legally emancipated at the time of application.

 

The waiting list for Tax-credit 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom units at Arboleda Apartments opens on February 12, 2025 at 9:00 AM. Applications will be available to submit online. Please visit www.sahahomes.org/apply for more information. A valid email address is required to apply online. Online applications must be submitted by 5:00 PM on February 19, 2025.

 

Paper applications available for pick up and drop off at 1550 Third Avenue, Walnut Creek, CA 94597 at the following times:

 

• Friday, February 14, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

• Monday, February 17, 3:00 PM –5:00 PM

 

Paper applications will be available online to print. Paper applications must be mailed to the address on the application. Applications submitted by mail must be postmarked by February 19, 2025 AND received by the manager's office by 5:00 PM on February 26, 2025.

 

A lottery will be conducted for all applications received by the deadline. The top 500 applications will be placed on the waiting list for consideration. If additional applications are needed, we reserve the right to process the next applications in lottery order.

• Households must have at least one member who is a Veteran (all discharge status). Head of Household must be 18+ years or older at the time of application.

 

The waiting list for 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom units at Valor Village opened on: January 2, 2025 at 9:00 AM. Applications will be available to submit online. Please visit www.sahahomes.org/apply for more information. A valid email address is required to apply online. Online applications must be submitted by 5:00 PM on April 9, 2025.

 

Paper applications will be available to pick up at the off-site location:

540 21st Street, Oakland, CA 94612 during the following times:

 

• Tuesdays, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

• During the Waiting List Opening

Paper applications are NOT available at the property site.

Multiple lotteries will be conducted during the opening. All applications received during a lottery period will be entered into a lottery and placed on the waiting list shortly after the period ends. The third lottery period ends on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 5:00 PM. After, lottery periods end every two weeks on Wednesdays at 5:00 PM until the waiting list closes**. Please see page 2 of the flyer, located on the website, for all period dates.

 

**Applications submitted by mail must be postmarked by April 9, 2025 AND received at the P.O. Box by 5:00 PM on April 16, 2025 to be eligible for the final lottery period.
